Sara uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy techniques to assist clients with restoring old strategies, or developing new ones, to respond to the challenges of modern living and parenting. Sara is mindful of the person in the community when she joins with clients; she seeks to help clients find strategies and skills that enhance their ability to achieve healthy and enjoyable relationships with children, partners, and others.<\/p>\n<p>You may find working with Sara helpful if you are\u2026<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A parent to-be or parent at any stage seeking to create your own version of realistic parenting in today\u2019s hurried and stressed society.<\/li>\n<li>A new mother struggling with postpartum depression or anxiety.<\/li>\n<li>New to therapy or unsure if therapy is the right fit for you<\/li>\n<li>A couple seeking relationship therapy that centers on perinatal\/postnatal or parenting concerns.<\/li>\n<li>Looking to find strategies to live a more mindful, flexible, and value-oriented life.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Sara earned her Master\u2019s in Social Work and Bachelor of Arts from West Virginia University. She also earned a Graduate Certificate in LGBT Health Policy and Practice from The George Washington University. She has completed training through Postpartum Support International and The Seleni Institute, and is a perinatal mental health certified provider. She works well in the intersections of gender, sexuality, and ethical non-monogamy. Sara has experience working with a wide variety of mental health symptoms through her work in rural community mental health.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"fusion-fullwidth
